synopsis

In London, Georges Thomason and his American girlfriend Wanda Gershwitz are planning to steal 13 million pounds worth of diamonds. They enlist the help of Ken Pile and Wanda's supposed brother, Otto West, who is actually just her lover. Otto is a dimwit who fancies himself an intellectual and gets turned on by his own body odor. Wanda and Otto plan to double-cross Georges and abscond with the jewels, while Wanda also plans to eliminate Otto from the picture. They successfully get Georges arrested and implicate him with the help of elderly eyewitness Eileen Coady, who later becomes the Crown's primary witness. Georges has taken precautions to safeguard his jewels by relocating them to a concealed place, providing Ken with a subtle clue. Wanda targets Georges' attorney Archie Leach and devises a scheme to seduce him, hoping to extract vital information about the heist, such as the whereabouts of the jewels. Meanwhile, Ken is tasked with killing Mrs. Coady before she can testify. With all these overlapping plans and schemes, chaos and hilarity ensue in A Fish Called Wanda.
