Watch All Quiet on the Western Front
(1930)Paul Baumann, a young German who was motivated by chauvinist ideals, enlisted in the First World War. I came to understand that death, blood, and hunger are the true enemies. Due to his injuries, Paul came home during a time when the war was hard to win, resources were short, and the villages still believed in the greatness of Germany. The teacher also proceeded to indoctrinate the children with chauvinist ideologies. Paul returned to the front line early from his leave after outragedly describing the war's tenacity to the pupils. Paul let go and chased the lovely butterflies when "no war on the Western Front" broke out, but he was struck by a stray bullet.
