synopsis

Christmas in Connecticut tells that during his hospital stay, war hero Jefferson Jones becomes captivated by the "Diary of a Housewife" column penned by Elizabeth Lane. Jeff's nurse orchestrates a plan with Elizabeth's publisher, Alexander Yardley, for Jeff to spend the holidays at Elizabeth's picturesque Connecticut farm with her family. However, there's a catch: the column is a complete fabrication. Fearing unemployment, Elizabeth and her editor, Dudley Beecham, scramble to transform the childless and domestically inexperienced Elizabeth into a believable housewife on a rural farm.
