(1994)Crooklyn is a semi-autobiographical film made by Spike Lee in 1994. This film is a true reflection of the life of an ordinary black family in Brooklyn and Bedford-Stuyvesant in New York City in the 1970s. Spike Lee lived in Brooklyn when he was a child. The leading character in the movie is a little girl named Troy, and her family, her four brothers, and her parents. It also stars Spike Lee as a drug addict. Spike Lee's films are mostly related to black people's way out, awakening, and racial discrimination. His films are sharp, fast-paced, and explosive, with a deep understanding of black habits and social dilemmas. Therefore, this film is through the narration of an ordinary black family story in the 1970s, reflecting the living environment of black Americans at that time.
