Watch Dad
(1989)Dad tells that John, a perpetually busy executive always on the go, receives distressing news during a meeting: his mother's health is deteriorating rapidly. Racing home, he assumes the role of his father's caregiver, forging a deeper connection with him than ever before. In the process, John empowers his father to embrace independence, which strains his relationship with his stepmother. Through this journey, John discovers the void in his own life and attempts to bridge the gap with his estranged son. As bonds strengthen between John, his father, and his son, and even his mother returns from the hospital, a sense of harmony pervades. However, their world is shattered when a routine surgery leaves his father mentally diminished and a mere semblance of his former self.
