Watch Flying Leathernecks
(1951)In 1942, during World War II, the United States and Japan were fighting to the death in the Pacific Islands of Guadalcanal. Black Cat Squadron, US Naval Air Operations, was ordered to provide support. Squadron leader Kirby had just taken over and demanded strict discipline, but the pilot kept aloof from him. Its chief executive, Carl Geffen, is an easygoing, emotional man. He also criticized the squadron leader's uncompromising attitude, saying that the pilot risked his life and that he should give some space for freedom. The squadron leader, as long as they adapt to combat life to avoid death, does not care; he is not an emotionless person. For each troop casualty, he wrote to the family with condolences to share the pain. With the Japanese counterattack, the two sides of the sea, and the air force in the fierce battle in the Pacific, we understand the squadron leader's love life, and the chief executive at a critical juncture also abandoned the past for the national mission to work hard to go and finally win.
