Watch Manifesto
(2017)Manifesto explores the ideas of various artistic movements, including Futurism, Dadaism, Fluxus, Suprematism, Situationism, and Dogma 95. It also incorporates the thoughts and reflections of individual artists, architects, dancers, and filmmakers. Through a collage-like approach, the film edits and rearranges these manifestos, raising questions about the artist's role in modern society. Cate Blanchett breathes fresh theatricality into these renowned words by performing them in thirteen distinct personas, such as a teacher, a puppeteer, a newsreader, a factory worker, and a homeless person, presenting the manifestos in unexpected and thought-provoking contexts.
