Watch Philomena
(2013)Philomena tells that in 1952 Ireland, the society was conservative. Teenage girl Philomena was sent to a convent to do hard labor after getting pregnant out of wedlock and was only allowed to spend one hour a day with her son Anthony. When Anthony was three years old, the nuns forcibly took him away and sent him to a foster family in the United States. For fifty years, Philomena immersed herself in longing for her son. She told the story to a journalist named Martin, who decided to embark on a journey with her to find her son. This unlikely duo, with different personalities, set out on an adventure of not just a mother seeking her lost child but also a testament to the friendship that transcends hope and despair. Philomena slowly learned about her son's extraordinary life and little-known secrets. Can this love that has come too late be conveyed to the long-lost Anthony?
