synopsis

In the heart of South London, Billy Simpson, a dubious boxing promoter with a record of being barred from legitimate fights, faces the most critical day of his life. Everything hinges on his twenty-year-old son, Eddie, who happens to be a promising champion. With all his money riding on Eddie's victory, Billy's feuding daughters also place their bets on the match. However, Eddie's nerves are frayed, and an enigmatic figure in a cap lurks in the shadows, adding to the unease. To make matters worse, the licensed promoter hired for the event has arranged shady fights with dogs, and the opposing manager looks down on Billy and his hometown. Complicating matters further, Scotland Yard is breathing down Billy's neck, suspecting him in the death of a club brawler. As the night takes a disastrous turn, Billy finds himself tangled in a web of betrayal and deception, desperate to uncover who double-crossed him in this treacherous world of boxing.
