synopsis

In this animated tale, Shrek, once an ugly ogre, is now happily married to Fiona and raising their three children. However, during his kids' birthday party, he suffers a meltdown and yearns to return to his former ogre self. Desperate to reclaim his identity, he makes a deal with the conniving Rumpelstiltskin. Initially, Shrek enjoys his new life as an ogre, but soon realizes that he has been tricked by Rumpelstiltskin, who now rules over the land. With the help of his friends Donkey, Fiona, and Puss in Boots, Shrek must fight to regain his former life before it's too late.
