(2007)Talk to Me is a biographical film that tells the story of Ralph Waldo "Petey" Greene Jr. in the mid-to-late 1960s in Washington, D.C. Petey, an ex-con, lands a radio gig with the help of his girlfriend Vernell and Dewey Hughes, the program director and brother of his fellow inmate Milo. Petey's controversial on-air personality quickly becomes a hit, surpassing even the popularity of his fellow disc jockeys. He uses his voice and humor to openly discuss race and power in America, making himself and his community heard during a turbulent period in American history. As Petey and Dewey's partnership grows, they redefine themselves and become the men they aspire to be.
