synopsis

Tethered tells that Solomon, a visually impaired teenager, resides in a remote forest in North Carolina, living a solitary life with only a long rope tied to his waist to help him navigate his surroundings. He sustains himself through fishing, foraging, and trapping small animals for food. Additionally, he is driven by a recorded message that consists of three enigmatic rules: the first being to do two things while hunting or gathering - one for the forest and one for oneself. The second rule is to find solace in singing their song when feeling defeated and almost giving up, and the third rule is to never release the rope.
