synopsis

The Bay, a "found-footage" movie set in 2009 in Claridge, Maryland, during the annual 4th of July Crab Festival, where the town's people fall ill with a variety of symptoms. Fear and panic grip the town as people start to behave strangely and turn up dead, leading local news reporters to suspect that the water has been infected with something. The government shuts down the town and confiscates all video footage to cover up the incident, but one local reporter secretly assembles and hides this film, hoping that the truth will one day be revealed.
