synopsis

The Final Countdown is an action movie directed by Don Taylor and released in 1980. The actors are Kirk Douglas, Martin Sheen, Katharine Ross, James Farentino, Ron O'Neal. During routine maintenance, the USS Nimitz encountered a strange storm and suddenly lost contact with the US Pacific Fleet. After encountering the Japanese "0" reconnaissance aircraft and discovering that Pearl Harbor was full of warships before World War II, the officers and soldiers on the ship realized that their aircraft carrier had gone through the time tunnel and returned to Pearl Harbor on the eve of World War II. The officers and soldiers on the ship further found that the Japanese aircraft carrier fleet was about to attack Pearl Harbor and enlighten the war, or they could preemptively attack the Japanese fleet with their advanced fighter planes and missiles, In order to avoid the catastrophe of Pearl Harbor and change the history at the same time; Or leave Pearl Harbor and let history develop naturally.
