Watch The Good Shepherd
(2006)The Good Shepherd tells that Edward Wilson is a laconic and self-contained CIA operative who leads covert operations during the Bay of Pigs invasion. When the agency suspects that Fidel Castro was tipped off, Wilson embarks on a mission to uncover the leak. Along the way, he reminisces about his father's death, his time at Yale, and his recruitment into the O.S.S. Wilson also recalls his truncated affairs, shotgun marriage, and his early spy craft experiences in London. As he navigates relationships with agency, British, and Soviet counterparts, we see his idealism slowly give way to something else. The heart of the movie's narration is the revelation of the nature of this change as Wilson closes in on the leak.
