(1980)The Long Riders, following the American Civil War, Jesse James, an outlaw, assembles a formidable gang consisting of his brother Frank James, Cole Younger, and his two brothers Jim and Bob Younger, along with Ed Miller and Clell Miller. Guided by the collective leadership of Jesse James and Cole Younger, the gang embarks on a relentless string of robberies, commencing with small-scale banks and stagecoaches located throughout the Midwest, as well as their home state of Missouri. Their audacious heists leave a trail of chaos and fear in their wake as they navigate their criminal pursuits with calculated precision.As their confidence grows, they set their sights on larger targets like substantial banks and trains.Their daring criminal endeavors, however, capture the attention of railroad company owners who swiftly respond by enlisting the services of the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. Tasked with capturing the notorious gang, the Pinkerton detectives set out to bring an end to their reign of lawlessness. In a violent turn of events, the gang clashes with the Pinkerton detectives, sparking a relentless war between the agency and the James-Younger gang. Trapped in the crossfire are innocent civilians, caught in the unfortunate circumstances. By 1876, the gang finds themselves running out of viable banks to rob in Missouri, compelling them to venture northward to Minnesota, where they plan to raid a supposedly lucrative bank. Unbeknownst to them, the Pinkerton Detective Agency is preparing an elaborate trap, ready to ensnare the daring outlaws.
