synopsis

The film takes place entirely in a Manhattan bathhouse, where a Cleveland businessman named Gaetano Proclo (Jack Weston) has taken refuge from his Mafia brother-in-law, who has put a price on his head. While hiding out at the bathhouse, Gaetano encounters a variety of eccentric characters, including Googie Gomez (Rita Moreno), a loud and proud performer who dreams of becoming a Broadway star, and Chris (Treat Williams), a young actor who mistakes Gaetano for a producer and tries to seduce him. As Gaetano tries to avoid his would-be assassins and navigate the wild and unpredictable world of the bathhouse, he begins to discover a newfound sense of liberation and acceptance.
