synopsis

The Tiger Rising follows the story of 12-year-old Rob Horton, who moved to a small town in northern Florida with his father Robert after his mother Caroline passed away. They lived in a motel called the "Kentucky Star," and Robert worked odd jobs for the motel owner Beauchamp to make ends meet. As a newcomer, Rob also faced exclusion in school. One day, while crossing through the damp forest to catch the school bus, Rob stumbled upon a large tiger in a cage. He told his new friend Sistine about it, and with her encouragement, Rob decided to help free the tiger from its captivity. Together, they made a plan and finally managed to release the tiger, but one unexpected event led to another.
