synopsis

The prequel narrative follows the genesis of the long-standing blood conflict between the aristocratic vampires and their former subordinates, the Lycans, throughout the centuries. During the Dark Ages, a youthful Lycan named Lucian rises as a dominant figure, uniting the werewolves to rebel against Viktor, the oppressive vampire monarch who has held them captive. With the aid of his covert lover, Sonja, Lucian combats the Vampire legion and fights for the emancipation of the Lycans.
