Watch Weiner
(2016)Weiner tells that Anthony Weiner, a once-respected member of Congress and close ally of the Clintons, served seven consecutive terms and championed the interests of everyday people. However, his reputation crumbled in 2011 when he admitted to sending lewd photos of himself via his public Twitter account. Despite the scandal, his wife Huma Abedin, a key aide to Hillary Clinton, stood by him. Two years later, Weiner, with Abedin's support, attempts to revive his political career by running for New York City mayor. He faces an uphill battle due to the previous scandal and the possibility of more compromising photos emerging during the campaign. Weiner believes that his personal life should not impact his ability to serve as a politician, but he is aware that the scandal will haunt him throughout the election. While some voters may be willing to overlook his past behavior, others may never forgive or forget. The question remains whether his campaign team and Abedin will support and forgive him a second time, particularly if his questionable actions persist and he fails to take responsibility for them.
