synopsis

Wells Fargo is a history western movie directed by Frank Lloyd in 1937. It stars Joel McCrea, Bob Burns, Frances Dee, Lloyd Nolan, and Henry O'Neill. In the 1840s, Ramsey MacKay (Joel McCrea), a driver from Wells Fargo Mail Company, would have been awarded an important contract if he had delivered fresh oysters from New York City to Buffalo. When he rescues Justine Pryor(Frances Dee), he gets stuck in a broken-down wagon on the road, and he won't let them slow down long enough to get the ladies to Buffalo. He arrived in time to secure the contract and was then sent to St. Petersburg by company president Henry Wells. Wells would set up a branch office.
