The After movies is a series of young adult romance movies based on the bestseller phenomenon books of the same name by Anna Todd. The movies starred Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Josephine Langford as leading roles, Hardin Scott and Tessa Young respectively.

1.After (2019)
Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) is a conformist teenager, respectful daughter and loyal girlfriend. When Tessa steps into college to start a new life, she meets the mysterious, dark, depressed and rebellious Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). With his brown hair, arrogant British accent and tattoos, Hardin is unlike anyone Tessa has ever known before. His cold attitude is enough to make Tessa dislike him, until the two kiss in the room, Tessa's heart is lit. But Hardin was playing Truth or Dare with his friends, and he was going to chase Tessa and take her virginity.
Hardin asked Tessa to go swimming in a lake, and they hugged in the water, and maybe that's when Hardin had a little crush on Tessa. Hardin insists they are different and disappear again and again, but Tessa digs deeper each time, dedicated to finding Hardin's true facts beneath the layers of lies. The two really fell in love and lived together, and lived a sweet life every day. However, one day Tessa was looking at chat records on Hardin's phone, one of his friends texted him to ask if he had got Tessa's virginity, it turned out that the it is actually a game. She finally decided to break up with Hardin.
2.After We Collided (2020)
The story of Tessa and Hardin continues in After We Collided. The film tells the story that happens when they have already started working after graduation from college. Harding Scott was drowning his sorrows, and he was struggling with his lost love. At this time Tessa is working at a Vance Publishing, her everyday work is reading manuscripts and trying to find the next best seller. Trevor Matthews (Dylan Sprouse), who is one of Tessa's colleagues at Vance Publishing and falls in love with her on wild nights of party.
As we know in the first film, Hardin has realized that he's really in love with Tessa, so he's been looking for her. Hardin finally found Tessa, and she still liked him, but she wasn't as impulsive as she had been in college, and Harding found her at a hotel with Trevor, much to his dismay.
Although the two end up together, which is still very good ending, but at the end of the movie Tessa's father appears, so many people say there will be a third movie.
3.After We Fell (2021)
After We Fell serves as a sequel to After We Collided/ After 2, the story follows Tessa's preparatory work for a job in Seattle, no matter the emerge of Tessa's father and exposure about Hardin's family, all threaten their relationship. Tessa’s father Richard was kicked out of family by her mother due to alcohol addiction and Tessa and Hardin brings him to their apartment. Hardin wants Richard leave and even giving him money but Tessa wants her father stay. On the other hand, Tessa is considering moving to Seattle where is closer to Vance Publishing, but Hardin hoped to move to London with Tessa after graduation. They argue with each other over the move. Finally, Vance Publishing offered to let Tessa and Hardin settle down together in Seattle.
Tessa went to the Hardin family's lake house for the weekend. Apparently, Hardin's relationship with family more closely than ever before. When the family goes out to dinner, Hardin meets his old friend Lillian, whom he later introduces to Tessa. Tessa became jealous of the attention Lillian was getting from Hardin. In the hot tub, Hardin asks Tessa if she ever had feelings for Trevor. Tessa confessed and that makes Hardin leave angrily. When Hardin told Tessa he was in relationship with Lillian, Tessa went to the restaurant she had been to earlier and flirted with Robert, who gave her his phone number. Hardin and Lillian arrive, and Lillian explains that she is lesbian and therefore has no spark or interest in Hardin. The next day, Hardin finds Robert's phone number among Tessa's belongings.
When they moved to Seattle, Tessa and Hardin didn't talk for days. Hardin accidentally reads Tessa's diary about all the hard feelings in her relationship with Hardin. Eventually the two reconciled. With a series of events, Harding learns the startling fact that Vance is his biological father. The news shocks Tessa and angers Hardin, and he storms out of the bar. Tessa spots Hardin and the two embrace in the street.
4.After Ever Happy (2022)
Young adult romance movie After Ever Happy film release date is September 7 this year in North America. This is the latest but the final installment in the this series, also starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and directed by Castille Landon who also known for Fear of Rain, After 3 and Albion: The Enchanted Stallion.
The story of ths movie still continues the story in previous three movies. It will revolve around a past secret that shakes Harding's indestructible exterior, followed by Tessa suffering a tragedy that brings their relationship to the brink. Hardin is dealing his feelings about knowing that Vance is his birth father with alcohol and even set the house on fire. Tessa returned to America alone and find her father dead in the apartment from overdose. Until Langdon called Hardin dozens of times and finally answered the phone. He returns to Tessa and tries to comfort her, but she hides. Nevertheless, Hardin attended Richard's funeral with Langdon. Tessa tells Langdon that she and Hardin need some time apart to recover from their recent family trauma. She decided to leave Vance and move to New York with Langdon. Harding reluctantly agreed at last.
Tessa worked at a fancy New York restaurant, and Hardin began attending AA meetings and graduated from college. A few months later, Hardin came to New York to work. Tessa and Hardin reconnect, and Tessa finds a book in Harding's bag titled After, documenting their entire relationship. She didn't want her life to be published for all to read, but Hardin told her the book had already sparked a bidding war. Tessa announced that their relationship was officially over. Soon, Hardin's book was named a New York Times bestseller. That night, Tessa sneaked into Hardin's book signing without his knowledge so she could listen in. She misunderstands the relationship between Hardin and a woman, and as Tessa walks away, Harding catches a glimpse of her.
5.After Everything (2023)
After Everything is the fifth movie of its series. This August, the teen romance movie After movie series, starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes is announcing that the fifth installment titled After Everything has just finished filming and in post-production.
After Ever Happy, which is just released in North America on September 7, was previously said to be the last installment in the this series. Now the new film has been announced as After Everything, and the plot is still unknown. All to be sure is that the story will still focus on the ups and downs of the romantic relationship between Tessa and Hardin. In After Everything, the director will still be Castille Landon, who has directed After We Fell movie 2021(After 2) and After Ever Happy (After 4), and coming After 5 and 6 installments.
