synopsis

Crown season 1 follows the political conflicts and romance of Elizabeth II when this 25-year-old newlywed becomes Queen. Political and personal issues clash unexpectedly for her, and she is faced with the daunting prospect of leading the most famous monarchy. Meanwhile, she must forge a relationship with the legendary PM Churchill. When the British Empire is declining, the appearance of the new Queen means the arrival of a new era.
